Weed Management Intensive: Part II – Market Garden Weed Management

In our Market Garden Weed Management workshop, farmer James Berntson of Radicle Roots Farm will demonstrate the strategies that he uses for weed management on his small market garden-style farm. James will demonstrates how he uses wheel hoes, collinear hoes, silage tarps, and low-till techniques for his small-scale weed management system. Participants will have an opportunity for a question and answer session and leave with a variety of resources for their own growing.

Our Weed Management Intensive is comprised of 3 separate workshops and will give participants a three-season view of weed management at multiple scales and techniques ranging from market garden-style to tractor cultivation. Technical Intensives create peer-to-peer farmer mentorship, build farmers’ technical skills, and provide participants with an opportunity to see how multiple, diverse farming operations work.
